Abigail is a photographer who specializes in the underwater environment. She is also a marine science educator & writer with degrees in Aquatic Biology and Art from St. Mary's College of Maryland.

Abigail moved to San Diego in 1999 where she taught marine science at Seacamp San Diego for two years. In the year 2000 she wrote an online marine life encyclopedia with Marty Snyderman for Skin Diver magazine. She was also awarded an Our World Underwater Internship with Scuba Diving Magazine in 2001. She taught floating classrooms for Blue Escape Dive and Charter and is a newly certified Dive Instructor. She also volunteered for Scripps Institute of Oceanography in the marine life collections department. For the past three and a half years she worked offshore doing Geophysical Oceanography with a private company associated with Scripps. She writes often for Deeper Blue and is currently the photographer for the San Dieguito Wetland Restoration Project.

Abigail has been diving and taking photographs since she was 16. She is an avid swimmer who swam competitively through college. She recently gave into a long standing debate with her sister that swimming was better than running and has finished a handful of marathons. She is also known to quote Spongebob Squarepants.
