Ghana to the Canaries

We are currently sailing North up the west coast of Africa. It is hot and muggy and there has been a constant haze around us. The wood fires were strong in the air while we were off the coast of Ghana, but presently it is just the smell of the ocean that lingers. We are rounding the corner of West Africa today and will arrive in the Canary Islands on sunday night the 19th (Sarah's birthday). It's been a long trip so far, but the weather should be much milder up north . . .
